Barry Cohen started in 1989 with Luminox as he found a way to make watches easy to read with a special illumination system. (Lumi is Latin for light and Nox means night). When the company got a special contract from the Navy Seals the brand became very well known. Since a Luminox is recognized as a Swiss Made sturdy watch. When it is good enough for the Navy Seals it is good enough for every day use.
