Kashio Tadao founded the company Kashio Seisakujo, in Mitaka, Tokyo in 1946. In their first years they produced large calculators. In the 1970's Casio started to sell their electronic watches in the Western market and in 1983 they started to offer their famous G-shock watch, Followed in 1994 by the Baby-G. Nowadays Casio still has its own face and their own lines of trustworthy watches filled with gadgets.
