Lush… A color of elegance and beauty that enhances our sense of well-being, balance and harmony.” The influential fashion forecasters at Pantone predicted that this rich green will be a must color for interior design and fashion this year and once again they were right: the color has been seen on walls, furniture, fabrics, ceramics and in haute couture catwalks. This universally appealing tone has become a trend as it easily adapts to both fashion and interior design for what is only natural to see now fashion accessories in this color, including watches.

My pick of the day is the end result of a collaboration between two brands known globally for their connection with color: Ice Watch and Pantone. Ice watch new collection of unisex, bi-color watches called “Pantone Universe by Ice Watch” includes two creations featuring Pantone Logo, a bi-color dial and bi-color molded strap. And just like that, Easter weekend is around the corner. I have several reasons to love this time of the year: spring finally arrives bringing its lovely flowers and sunshine, change in daylight saving time gives us an extra hour of light and seasonal veggies and fruits I love are back to the markets. Here at the office, Spring is a time of renewal as we look for new interesting brands to add to our collection. My pick of the day includes watches from our new brand La Mer, a brand I’m super excited about simply because it has some of the most beautiful watches I’ve ever seen!  If I had the option, I would pick them all! But for now I’ll stick to the three models that I feel really reflect my style and personality. Keep reading, I guarantee you’re going to love them too!

My first pick is the insanely chic Aztec Odyssey Wrap. Like the name suggest, this watch features an unique Aztec print on a leather strap which has a rather neutral color palette with predominant touches of a color I call “rust”. The design is beautifully complemented with a rose gold plated hexagonal watch case and details as well as rose gold raised indexes. Maybe it’s my Latin heritage or maybe is my love for traveling and all things exotic , maybe is the combination of all these things which makes this watch so dear to me.

Emerald green is the color of the year, so I  got to have something green! Next on my selection is the Rio Gold Teal model. This watch has an extra-long washed teal soft leather strap topped with multiple gold plated stainless steel chains. The watch case shape is La Mer Collections’ signature square which is also made from gold plated stainless steel.

Last but certainly not least is what I consider the basics, the canvas, you know something you can mix and match infinitely. The Arizona Tobacco Multichain Wrap is a must have for me for two good reasons: first, it has the perfect neutral yet warm look and feel thanks to the tan leather strap (Tan being the kind of leather/color that never goes out of style)  and second, the multichain characteristic which means you get the perfect “stacked wrist” so trendy right now, in one single step. How convenient!

With so many watch brands doing and re-doing essentially the same thing season after season, is not surprise to have that feeling of “been there, done that” from time to time. That’s why I love unique brands like Triwa who strive and maintain their own identity by taking risks and using lots and lots of color.

Back in 2010 they launched a fabulous collection of watches called “Miami Deco” inspired by the colors and style of the Miami Deco district.
