The Alessi Factory which is located in Crusinallo, Italy, started with producing watches in 1985 with Aldo Rossi’s “Momento”. Since then many well-known designers from over the world took the challenge of giving time a designer dimension including Achille Castiglioni, Alessandro Mendini, Ron Arad, Ettore Sottsass and Patricia Urquiola.

Alessi Watches represents one of the companies based in Crusinallo which have collaborated with other businesses in the start of the 21th century. The partnership with the Japanese Seiko resulted in the largest collection of designer watches for men and women, expanded with a kids collection.

In honor of the big Dakar Rally a new limited TW Steel edition has been  announced. Tim Coronel, ambassador of the first hour, is busy fixing his buggy for the start of the Dakar rally.

Dakar has been the first media spectacle for TW Steel in the year 2007 and since then TW Steel decided to keep supporting Tim in this amazing event.

This year’s Dakar Edition are the TW908 with a 45 mm case, screw crown in canteen style, titanium plating, OS20 miyota movement, hardened mineral glass, silicone strap and water resistant up to 100 meters. This watch is limited to 100 pieces.

The TW909 is the same watch but with a 50 mm case and has a special 15 inch 6S20 miyota movement, a completely new movement which can’t be found in any other watch yet! This watch is limited to 400 pieces.

The complete design of the watch is renewing, it gives a whole new view in the whole Canteen collection which haven’t been shown before. The limitation of 400 and 100 pieces makes this watch pretty exclusive and is expected to been sold out real soon!

Release date will be on the starting date (January 2012) of the Dakar Rally so keep checking!

Pandora is a jewelry company founded in Denmark which sells customizable charm bracelets, rings, earrings and necklaces in more than 50 countries.  In 2010 Pandora released a line of Swiss watches. There are 10 types of watches which all have a black diamond in the crown and sapphire glass to prevent scratching (except the Double Oblong).
