I am still taken by the Sugar Rush trend from last week for obvious reasons; is so cooling and summery, just  like a breath of fresh air…so this week I give you Sugar Rush part two. This time I reverse my choice and decide to go for a nude-colored watch, which is ideal to wear with a pastel outfit, as opposed to last week pick, where the watch itself ensured for the pastel touch.

My pick of the day is the 100% Bauhaus Max Bill ladies watch by Junghans.  Often referred as the ”definitive Bauhaus watch”, this delightful timepiece is part of the wristwatches collection that the acclaimed designer created for Junghans back in the 60’s which remain practically unchanged today. As a member of the famous Bauhaus generation, Max bill no doubt adhered to the simple and clean forms dictated by the movement. The design principle “form follows function” can be seen overall in the design; nothing is trivial and nothing is unnecessary. This is just pure and purposeful design.

I absolutely love the clear and elegant presence that this watch owns. This timepiece is definitely an investment, but is totally worth it. The level of precision and quality you get in return is very high, as with every other watch from the prestigious German brand. This timeless wristwatch pairs well with pretty much everything, thanks to the minimalistic design and beige calfskin strap. It can be worn in both casual and work settings.  What’s not to love about it?

Sugar and spice and all things nice…The sweet and pretty pastel shades trend is having a mayor moment this summer and no doubt it makes for a softer alternative to the ultra-bright neon color trend introduced earlier this spring.  Candy floss pink, baby blue, calm lavender, peppermint green, chiffon yellow and similar pastel hues reminiscent of childhood’s candy treats are taking over the Spring/Summer collections of prominent designers all over the world, and I for one cannot miss this opportunity to pick the perfect watch to complement the trendy  pretty in pastels look!

My pick of the day is the serene Alessi Luna Pastel Green mint watch designed by award-wining designer Alessandro Mendini. A timepiece named after the moon and that according to the designer ‘Expresses its calm roundness and silent mystery.’ Beyond this soothing description, this elegant watch features a case made of 18/10 stainless steel, a pastel green mint leather strap and a double-ended second hand. I personally love the minimalistic design and simple way of indicating hours, minutes and seconds. I can definitely picture this timepiece complementing a pastel-neutral outfit and nude shoes. Simply effortless,  very lady-like style.

Are you ready to be pretty in pastels this season?  It’s sugar rush time, sans the calories. That’s what I call a sweet deal!

This Spring-Summer season is all about neon.  All around the globe, celebrities and fashion enthusiasts alike have been spotted wearing this electric color trend. I must honestly confess my initial lack of enthusiasm for this one… although I admit that neon colors can be so refreshing and fun…Just looking at them can get me in such a joyful mood! And so, after a little research I conclude that the key to incorporate this trend in any woman’s closet is simply styling it with neutrals;  (think hot orange trousers paired with a crisp white blouse)  this result in a gorgeous balanced look where our dear neon friend is in charge of injecting the perfect dose of color.

For those of us not yet ready to go full day glow, the solution is to ease into the trend by accessorizing with neons: a punching handbag, belt or …. A watch. A fabulous way to accomplish this task would be wearing a neon pink watch, and therefore my pick of the day is the yummy HRH watch by Juicy Couture crafted from stainless steel with a hot pink and orange plastic bracelet and a round case.
