   Have had the watch for a week now and like it very much. I can do a day and a half with it before it runs out, have the battery on daily use. Responding to Whatsapp or email can also be done through your watch. The keyboard is small, but very responsive. You can also send emoji from it. Furthermore, the watch is completely to your liking to regulate. So far very satisfied

   Heb het horloge nu een week en bevalt mij erg goed. Ik kan er anderhalve dag mee doen voor dat hij leeg is, heb de batterij op dagelijks gebruik. Reageren op Whatsapp of mail kan ook via je horloge. Het toetsenbord is wel klein, maar reageert erg goed. Ook emoji kan je er vanaf versturen. Verder is het horloge helemaal naar eigen wens in te regelen. Tot nu toe dus erg tevreden

   It is a good working clock that is nice for basic functions. I use it icm iPhone it works well. I see the watch as standby screen of iPhone if you get push message then you can read it without taking your phone out of pocket.

   Het is een goed werkend klok die voor de basis functies leuk is. Ik gebruik hem icm iPhone het werkt goed. Ik zie het horloge als stand-by scherm van de iPhone als je push bericht krijgt dan kun je dit af lezen zonder je telefoon uit de zak halen.

   The Smartwatch from Fossil looks great. Beautiful design and the watch band is very nice. For me, this is the first smartwatch I wear and I personally can't get used to it. I understand that people like to receive their mails and apps on the smartwatch but for myself I do not see the added value. No for me no smartwatch but that does not mean this is a bad watch. The Fossil gen 5 smartwatch feels solid and robust. also the watch has enough possibilities to set it to your own taste and wishes.

   De Smartwacht van Fossil ziet er fantastisch uit. Mooi design en de horloge band zit er fijn. Voor mij is dit de eerste smartwatch die ik draag en ik kan er persoonlijk niet aan wennen. Ik snap dat mensen het fijn vinden om hun mails en apps op de smartwatch binnen te krijgen maar voor mijzelf zie ik de meerwaarde hier niet van in. Nee voor mij geen Smartwatch maar dat wil niet zeggen dat dit een slecht horloge is. De Fossil gen 5 smartwatch voelt degelijk en robust aan. ook heeft het horloge genoeg mogelijkheden om hem naar je eigen smaak en wensen in te stellen.

5. "Stylish and not too expensive"

   Actually I had been in doubt about buying a smartwatch for a long time, so this was the perfect opportunity to see if it is something for me. I have had the Fossil for about five days now, the first thing I noticed was that the watch band is a bit darker than you see in all the pictures but personally I do not find this disturbing. The Fossil feels solid and robust, also the touchscreen can take a beating I already know from experience. Setting it up and pairing it with my phone (a Huawei) was very easy, discovering all the possibilities took a little longer but after a few days you know how to deal with this flawlessly as well. The biggest windfall is the battery life for me. After a few days of "normal" use (wifi, bluetooth, time, various apps, heart rate sensor on) the battery is still half full at the end of the day. The only downside I can discover is the connectivity / sync of some apps. Strava and Buienradar had a lot of trouble syncing with me but this could also be due to the apps themselves or the phone. Also, the keyboard is really hard to operate on such a small screen but often you don't even need it and I think there are alternatives available in the app store.

   Eigenlijk twijfelde ik al veel langer over de aanschaf van een smartwatch, dit was dus de uitgelezen kans om te kijken of het iets is voor mij. Ik heb de Fossil nu ongeveer vijf dagen, het eerste wat mij opviel was dat het horlogebandje wel wat donkerder is dan je op alle afbeeldingen ziet maar persoonlijk vind ik dit niet storend. De Fossil voelt degelijk en robuust aan, ook het touchscreen kan tegen een stootje weet ik al uit ervaring. Het instellen en het koppelen met mijn telefoon (een Huawei) was erg eenvoudig, het ontdekken van alle mogelijkheden duurde wat langer maar na een paar dagen weet je ook hier feilloos mee om te gaan. De grootste meevaller is de levensduur van de batterij voor mij. Na een paar dagen "normaal" gebruik (wifi, bluetooth, tijd, diverse appjes, hartslagsensor aan) is de batterij aan het eind van de dag nog half vol. Het enige minpuntje die ik kan ontdekken is de connectiviteit / synchronisatie van sommige apps. Strava en Buienradar hadden bij mij veel moeite om te synchroniseren maar dit kan ook aan de apps zelf of de telefoon liggen. Ook is het toetsenbord wel heel erg lastig te bedienen op zo'n klein scherm maar vaak heb je die niet eens nodig en volgens mij zijn er ook wel alternatieven beschikbaar in de app store.

   Nice smartwatch the basic functions work reasonably but the apps could be much better. Battery lasts about a day

   Mooie smartwatch de basisfuncties werken redelijk maar de apps kunnen veel beter. Batterij gaat ongeveer een dag mee

   Ik heb voor deze smartwatch gekozen omdat het design het meest lijkt op een klassiek horloge. Dit komt o.a. door de fysieke knoppen die ook nog eens heel functioneel zijn. Daarbij houdt de accu het makkelijk een dag vol. Al met al een heel geslaagde smartwatch.

   After getting to test the gen3 last year, it was now the gen5's turn. Top clock! Especially the battery life has improved. Not extremely long, but good. You can easily get through the day and with a little use of the battery saving functions you can get through a few days. It is of course a nice compact watch, so getting through the day is enough for me. Possibilities and display of hands are fine. Just looks good on the wrist.

   Na vorig jaar de gen3 te mogen testen was het nu de buurt aan een gen5. Top klokje! Met name de accuduur is wat verbeterd. Niet extreem lang , maar gewoon goed. Dag kom je makkelijk door en met een beetje gebruim te maken van de accu bespaar functies kom je ook wel paar dagen door. Het is natuurlijk een lekker compacte horloge, dus de dag doorkomen is voor mij genoeg. Mogelijkheden en weergave vanwijzerplaatsen zijn prima. Staat gewoon goed om de pols.
