   After years of waiting it is finally here! Been waiting a long time for a watch to come out that actually had everything I would want namely: Android Wear,NFC,heart rate monitor and above all a super nice watch and not too sporty looking. The Fossil Q Explorist is really beautiful and really solid quality. It responds smoothly to touch and the display is really nice. It also supports gestures, so if I point my wrist towards my eyes the screen turns on automatically, this is with a small delay if you have the screen off by default, if you always have the screen on then this works faster. To charge it you have a USB cable with a magnetic dock attached, unfortunately you have to put it in your own USB charger because it is not included that is a minus point. I had it customized at a jeweler by taking out 2 links in between. Sometimes it doesn't respond and then you think hmm what is it doing? But then all of a sudden it reacts again, don't know what that's due to.... Find that the response time when opening apps could be a bit faster. Also, the range of apps is quite large but many useless apps (Fossil can't do anything about this). Battery life is fine, I can easily make it through the day on 1 charge. Before I go to sleep I put it on the charger and in the morning it is back to 100%. Usually in the evening it is around 50%. As we speak it is at 89% and has been off the charger for almost 3.5 hours. Screen is constantly on and so is heart rate monitor. I am using the Essential Digital Watchface from Fossil itself. I looked at some other watchfaces but find this one the most convenient and beautiful. I do think Fossil should release an app to make their own Watchfaces. Now you have to download those paid apps from the playstore and just hope it works 100%, if Fossil would release this then everyone would know it works 100%. Yesterday used the app Stocard at Albert Heijn, cashier looked at me strangely haha but it worked perfectly! I've been using it for a few weeks now and actually I wouldn't want to be without it anymore, it's really handy to not have to reach for your phone all the time or if you're in the store with groceries in your hand or something and someone sends you a message that you can just read it right away without having to reach for your phone. I do find that the notifications before the Android Wear 2 update were better than after unfortunately, but again that is not Fossil's fault but Google's.

   Na jaren wachten is het dan eindelijk zover! Heb heel lang gewacht tot er een horloge zou uitkomen die eigenlijk alles had wat ik zou willen namelijk: Android Wear,NFC,hartslagmeter en vooral een supermooi horloge en niet te sportief uiterlijk. De Fossil Q Explorist is echt prachtig en echt van stevige kwaliteit. Hij reageert vlot op aanrakingen en het display is heel mooi. Hij ondersteund ook gestures, dus als ik mijn pols naar me ogen richt gaat het scherm vanzelf aan, dit gaat met een kleine vertraging als je het scherm standaard uit hebt, als je het scherm altijd aan hebt staan dan werkt dit sneller. Om hem op te laden heb je een usb kabel met een magnetische docking eraan, die moet je helaas wel in je eigen usb-oplader doen want deze zit er namelijk niet bij dat is wel een minpuntje. Ik heb hem bij een juwelier op maat laten maken door er 2 schakels tussen uit te halen. Soms reageert hij even niet en dan denk je van hmm wat is hij aan het doen? Maar dan reageert hij opeens weer, weet niet waar dat aan ligt.. Vind dat de reactie tijd bij het openen van apps wel wat sneller mag. Ook het aanbod van apps is op zich best groot maar veel nutteloze apps (hier kan Fossil niks aan doen). Batterijduur vind ik prima, ik haal met gemak de hele dag op 1 lading. Voordat ik ga slapen zet ik hem op de lader en ochtends is hij weer 100%. Meestal is hij in de avond rond de 50%. As we speak is hij op 89% en al bijna 3.5 uur van de lader af. Scherm staat constant aan en hartslagmeter ook. Ik gebruik de Essential Digital Watchface van Fossil zelf. Ik heb wat andere watchfaces bekeken maar vind deze het handigst en het mooist. Ik vind wel dat Fossil een app moet uitbrengen om zelf Watchfaces te maken. Nu moet je van die betaalde apps uit de playstore downloaden en maar hopen dat het 100% werkt, als Fossil dit zou uitbrengen dan weet iedereen dat het 100% werkt. Gister de app Stocard gebruikt bij de Albert Heijn, kassière keek me vreemd aan haha maar het werkte perfect! Inmiddels een aantal weken in gebruik en eigenlijk zou ik niet meer zonder willen, het is echt heel handig om gewoon niet telkens je telefoon te pakken of als je bijvoorbeeld in de winkel staat met boodschappen in je hand ofzo en iemand stuurt je een berichtje dat je dat gewoon kunt lezen meteen zonder je telefoon erbij te hoeven pakken. Ik vind wel dat de notificaties voor de Android Wear 2 update beter waren dan erna helaas, maar ook dat is niet te wijten aan Fossil maar aan Google.

   If you want the utmost this is a topper. Lots of possibilities and options. Sit back and enjoy it.I seem to prefer simplicity and convenience anyway.....not for me

   Als je het uiterste uit de kan wil halen is dit een topper. Veel mogelijkheden en opties. Ga er maar voor zitten. Ik blijk toch meer van eenvoud en gemak te zijn.....niet voor mij

   What a beautiful smartwatch, I get one compliment after another! The screen is nice and clear and the side buttons work well too! It looks premium and is also sturdy.
